SHOCKER: Artie declines Fat Camp invitation

Lisa G mentioned that Colin Quinn called into the wrap-up show yesterday talking about how he is going to fat camp at the same time the show is going on break. Colin also put a call to Artie asking if he wanted to join him and Artie declined (surprise). “I’m choosing death I think…I guess I need to do it, I don’t know“.
Robin jumped into the discussion talking about how Artie was on his second muffin of the morning and how he was getting blue icing all over his lips. She then asked him about Bubba’s story influencing him about losing weight.

He can’t do it himself obviously. He has the dough, he needs to hire someone like Robin did, but not so extreme. You CAN eat delicious food and diet,, it’s about how it is prepared, and how much you eat of it. Artie doesn’t like anyone telling him what to do is the thing. The man had 2 HUGE cupcakes, 2 sodas, 2 hawaian punches, and a caramel macchiato all before 8 am. He is depressed beyond what we all think…. he sees no hope,, it’s sad. I still stand by what Robin says too,, he is the kinda guy that falls apart without a good woman to take care of him. He was raised the old school way. But Artie, for the love of god,,, please get some help.

I think what it comes down to is that he enjoys eating, enjoys being lazy. He is depressed but its not all due to overweight. People all around him tell him he needs to get healthy and that confuses him because people are attributing his health to his happiness, but really his unhealthy lifestyle is a byproduct of the real problem which isn’t uncovered or appropriately being addressed.

Yeah,, and he has to make money now, while he can. He could schedule his shows better too. You’re right it isn’t all due to his weight,, but maybe they are all trying to get him to realize that it wouldn’t all be so unbearable, if he felt physically better.
