I’ve only been listening for about 30 mins so far (west coast feed) and haven’t heard from the big man. Is he sick or is a scheduled slack off?

I noticed more Fred today and was kind of enjoying it. Based on the amount of conversation between Howard and Fred I’m guessing that this was an unplanned absence. Maybe his whole face is covered in Subutol residue.

I’ll flip over the wrap up show in a bit, im sure they will mention it there. It is a nice change of pace today, more straight forward conversation and less drama from what i’ve heard so far.

Why would they fire him? His trainwreck is great for the show. Think about the hours of conversation it’s created. I just hope Grandma Caprio makes a return and gives Artie shit until he gets pissed off.

They wouldn’t fire him. It isn’t like Artie is 20 yrs old anymore, I think he’s being pretty irresponsible. On the other hand, it makes for good radio.

They’re talking about it on the wrap up show now. Levy thinks Artie doesn’t want to leave the show lol. I think his happy pills are getting to his thinking process.

No, I meant as in like when you’re 20, you’re usually calling out of work from drinking with friends, Artie is 40 years old, and he doesn’t know that he’s too old to be doing that. He knows it’ll create hours of discussion too, which we all love. He’s probably saying to himself, look at all I do for the show haha.

He totally is, But Howard loves him too much. And artiefan, you were right on about them being somewhat out of touch with the audience. Gary just said he doesn’t thibnk anyone is getting up early or setting alarms to find out tomorrow morning what happened to Artie. Am I the only one who has done that before? haha

Considering you almost never hear Howard, Robin, Fred or Gary calling out… not really. Its just plain irresponsible if you are out drinking on a work night. The guy only has a 4 day work week (not including his side jobs)
