I like how they were ragging on Artie during the live commercial for the Borgatta this morning. Robin kept saying, “well he might have to cancel his gig this weekend, I’m sure the Borgatta won’t mind.” It’s Radio Gold but they are going to give him so much shit when he comes back.

Beer leauge almost didn’t happen because artie was on Heroin. The guy that produced it was really mad at him because he was missing time from the shoot. So he did do it while filming beer leauge.

Lisa did a story that Artie met with his book author Monday afternoon. He can do that, but not go to work? Howard said, I don’t care if you do a book, just show up for work.

Yeah I remember Artie saying Frank Sebastiano was a fan of the Stern show, and knew Artie hadn’t been off the show for a few days, but I thought that was his withdrawal time. Artie shot the movie and still did the Stern show. He said that the backers were getting nervous. Did they already start shooting at that point?

I may have been wrong about the Lisa G thing, she may have talked with the book guy, not Artie. But it does make you think, maybe. But I’d like to know of all these guys on the wrap up show, where are their balls? NO ONE thinks something may be going on, NO ONE thinks it’s fucked up he’s missing work? NO ONE is pissed he can get away with it and they can’t, I want to hear some honesty!

I think the fact that he’s sick, no it’s his jerk off friend, no he’s sick is suspicious. Howard will continue to love him and put up with him for his trainwreck’s entertainment value. Casinos won’t put up with him after a while, he’ll get his ass in gear by Thursday so he can rationalize his AC trip. When he starts missing those, he’s in trouble.

I like Artie…but enough is enough. Artie has been fortunate to acheive what he has through the show. His frequent absence’s is nothing but a slap in the face to all those on the show who have dedicated their time and life to the success of the show. If “Artie’s got to do what he’s got to do’ then do this..leave and be miserable. There are plenty other personalities that would fill in just as good or better! Its’ not the “Artie Show”……

I agree, dwgrey. When he calls in “sick”, all I hear in my head is the little comments he makes when they discuss the power of plugs on the show (’Hey, it got me in Carnegie Hall…’). It translates into “Hey, I hate the schedule and certain people here, but if it keeps the dough rolling in…”. Wait a minute…that might be everyone’s attitude at their job…whoops.

He’s back on drugs. Went to his bookie got 6 G’s. Went out drinking then got the itch to use, he had the cash. He uses when he can, then gets off it and uses his subutex. GOt some and went on a two day bender. His voice is exactly like it was during the withdrawal days. I’m telling you this is what’’s happening

Yeah, I think the picture is almost completely painted now. I’ll bet he wishes he never called in and mentioned that $6000 on the air. Joe is completely right and I don’t see how there can be that much doubt to it. A heroin addict picks up that kinda money and doesn’t show up for work for two days with no reasonable excuse? I’m not saying guilty until proven innocent, but…

Also another sign of drug use is that he’s not calling in the second day. He text messaged Teddy who called Gary. He’s probably deep in a high when he does this and no shape to talk. To text in sick wouldn’t fly with anybody’s line of work. Texting kind of a way of avoiding. All things in my mind are pointing to some sort of relapse and dark place and you can kind of see how everybody playing “oh we believe he’s sick card”. I think tomorrow will be big.

There’s some signing at a bookstore at like 1:30 tomorrow he is supposed to do with Fred and and everyone from the show, probably except for Robin and Howard. I just caught the tail end of it when Fred was doing the plugs at the end of the show.

In my honest opinion, it seems that in the morning he hasn’t taken any drugs for awhile (he sleeps for 12+ hrs at a time) and is having withdrawls from that. The big question is: Is it just subutex? or other drugs. I’ve been in the grips of OC’s before, and if I had to guess, that is what Artie’s doing. When he’s not taking them he does his sub’s, but those OC’s are pricey, they make most people chatty, but do too much and you’ll be nodding off at work; does that sound familiar?
