On the wrap up show today, George Takei said that Artie is “clearly not the person to make that PSA”. George felt it would become a joke and this is a serious topic that the world needs education on. He feels the word “fag” is like saying the n-word to African Americans. Gary told him that Artie does not believe that. George said the word is full of hate and people have died over it. Sounds like it would be a good debate between Sulu and the Baby Gorilla. Ralph later called in and tried to describe and defend Artie’s use of the word fag.

Artie is Gay?

Sounds like George’s gaydar was going off. He said that Artie acted so good on the “coming out” prank that there must have been some honesty in there. “No one can act that good” said Takei.

It’s becoming a regular thing and every one on the show has their concerns about it. Artie called in and told Jason this morning he wouldn’t be coming in.

Poor George. He thinks it may be because of him and the whole PSA with the Human Rights Campaign. Gary said 3 out of the 4 first day appearances by George Takei is met with Artie Lange not being here. George explained how there has been a difficult communication between the Lange camp and the HRC concerning the script for the PSA. George also brought up that much like the Crumbs cupcake money might, the HRC might not take Artie’s tainted money if he loses his bet with the F word.

Robin said she had an issue with Artie this weekend when they had plans to go to the Rolling Stones show and he called up on the day and said he had a family function.

Howard who usually gives Artie the benefit of the doubt expressed his concern as well thinking something is going on. I’m not sure he was thinking drugs but definitely that something could be wrong.

Sit Down

Howard said he hasn’t sit down and talked to Artie about it yet. He said he doesn’t like to lay down the law with people he works with. He said it’s only a 4 day work week and should be here.

Artie made a joke on the show saying he looked like a hostage, so I gave it a shot to see what that may look like lol.

Crumbs bakery received a letter from LIFEbeat, the organization which was benefiting from the Artie Lange Cupcake at Crumbs bakery. Apparently Artie’s statements during past shows got back to LIFEbeat from complaints and they have responded by no longer accepting money. The cupcake has raised 10 thousand dollars so far. UPDATE - I spoke with Crumbs and the Artie Lange Cupcake will still be available for purchase.

After a year of lobbying and over 2 million dollars (combined) spent on lobbying their merger, the FCC has finally ok’d the merger to take place.

Thank God, its about time. Fuck the FCC!

Sal come in with measure tape to get the skinny on Artie’s waist size. The big man is sporting a whopping 55 inches! Howard said Artie will have to shop at the Big & Tall & not getting laid store but Artie hinted towards that he was still getting laid perhaps even as recent as this past weekend.

Artie was down in Miami earlier in the weekend where he partied with the crew of a Jennifer Aniston movie, staying till 4 am at a strip club. Howard asked about getting laid again and Artie said there were some things going on but he wasn’t gonna comment. He also mentioned having to shop at an airport newsstand for a shirt because he didn’t have enough shirts. In order to try on his size too small XXL he had to cough up $17.50. Shit I’d pay triple that to watch a fat man shop for clothing at an airport. lol.

Howard mentioned the results of a poll taken on HowardStern.com to find out who the favorite member of the show is. Artie responded with “it does seem like people love a loser“.
