Artie Returns
Tuesday, April 1st, 2008When I heard AC/DC’s “For those about to rock” started playing this morning I knew that the Baby Gorilla would be back in studio today.
There was a surprise live broadcast last night at 7pm in which Artie was on. They were testing their ISDN connection.
Down with the Sickness
Artie really is sick and he was at a doctor yesterday getting antibitoics. The doctor prescribed Azithromycin and after a debate of how it was spelled, Robin came off as her usual idiot know-it-all self. The doctor said Artie is so rundown that he has virtually no immune system in which Artie kept on trying, awkwardly, to joke about AIDS with.
The doctor told him that he needs to get healthy or it will just get worse.
Azithromycin
Azithromycin is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria, such as bronchitis; pneumonia; sexually transmitted diseases (STD); and infections of the ears, lungs, skin, and throat. Azithromycin is in a class of medications called macrolide antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Antibiotics will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections.
Dumb Compromise
The doctor says you need to relax but his agent makes it hard to turn down money. Artie said he will compromise and take off July & August. Which is real smart considering how many months out is that? So if you die by then I guess its OK since you tried to compromise. Fucking idiot.
George confronts Artie
George confronted Artie on the PSA and Artie said,”I’m not taking it seriously” and that followed it up laughing and saying “its a joke”. Artie went on to say “I made an attempt, every attempt sounded like I was goofing”.
George tried explaining to Artie the viciousness of the word and said “Words have meaning”. Artie replied with “do you think I’m the only person in this room that uses fag”. Artie did say that he didn’t condone the history associated with the word.
Some other gems:
“I’d rather quit the show … your asking me to be something im not - caring”.
“I will do whatever you [George] want… like a broad that won’t shut up… whatever it will take to shut you up”.
The conversation broke suddenly for Al Rocher visiting the show.
