why do you and everybody else suck howards dick just because he makes the most money. howard was wrong for butting into arties life, period. it’s highly disrespectful to question an adult on his or her personal business with others. who is howard to get into arties business and then question artie about what he says and feels and then who the fuck is everybody else listening to pass judgement on artie as well, like you mother fucker, everyone taking howards side over arties business? i think the stern fan network is made up of a huge bunch of loser faggots who are all in love with a gay jew nerd named howard stern and somehow a real man, artie, got mixed in with these piece of shit jews and fucking herd of nerds.

I still love how everyone defends Artie like he’s a 2 year old child, or a baby gorilla. He’s a grown ass man, he’s 40!
Also I find it hillarious that everyone acts like Howard hasn’t done this to COUNTLESS amounts of people for like the last 25 years. Just because he makes people laugh doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be held accountable for his actions.

Thats the problem with people today, it’s always he made me do it or “it’s not my fault”. Seriously how many dudes do you know that throw things when they get mad? It my neighborhood we call them pussies.

I love this website and I wanna save the baby gorilla as much as everyone else. That being said, I agree that Artie is a grown ass man and he’s on a downward spiral. I like him on the show and hope he comes back but it will be a long time coming until the show will go back to “normal” as much normal as it ever has been which I point out is WHY WE LISTEN!!

Artie may be a 40 year-old whorefucker, but he does not nearly possess the expected level of maturity. Then again, neither does anyone else on the show.
I partially fault Howard and everyone else on the show who “loves” Artie enough to tell him to get help once in awhile, but never fail to rub in how fat he is and film him sleeping and eating. Artie takes all this in and it all came out on Thursday. Artie does not have the motivation or self-perception to realize he needs help. He probably thinks it’s gay to get help from someone.
I think Artie would be personally and professionally better off in another venue. In my opinion, he got stale and was only interesting when embarrassing himself. He’s been there long enough, it’s time to move on. It’s just too bad he went out the way he did.

Once again Artie blows up. I love Artie and he is great for the show. BUT… Artie would be making more crap movies or be dead if it wasn’t for being on the Howard Stern Show. If he leaves the show, his career will go back to a nothing again. MadTV was hideous. Sal nailed it on the head when he told Artie he sucked on MadTV. You think he get’s all these higher class venues, TV appearances, Entourage, Rescue Me and Notoriety on his own? NOT. Howard is the reason for his lifted career over the past 7 years. Yes, Howard is an instigating little prick many times but Howard simply asked what was going on at first. Artie called Teddy in initially. But that’s irrelevant. Artie is a grown man and if he didn’t want Howard to go into it, he should have said, “Drop it, I don’t want to talk about it.”
I mean geez, he doesn’t get fired for taking days off or sleeping through the show, there’s no reason he can’t tell Howard to piss off.

But it likens him to more people that way, and maybe not necassarily those particular addictions, but everyone’s own insecurities. I think it has a lot to do with why we all love him, why news of him quitting the show crashed web sites, and made the news.

I do agree about the part of Howard being a jew lady from Scarsdale. Howard really upset me by not replaying the show, putting the rundown on the web sight and not airing the Howard TV daily show. Howard is always the first to bitch about free speech and then he pulls bullshit like this.
We all pay good money for the show and have bought into the show because it is a reality like forum but to censor this incedent like it never happened really upsets me.
I understand everyone saying it was Mel or lawyers but they are toally wrong. First of all there was no crime commited , Artie never hit anyone. And for the agrument about making money off a bad situation come on now this is Stern we are talking about he makes money off everyone elses pain or affliction. Its ok to try and trick a retarted person into thinking he went to outer space or some poor midget in a wheel chair that is fucked with on a daily basis.
Also if Howard is so non violent what about the link on Howardstern.com to the Bob Levy Bonaduche slap (if you want to get tech Bob Levy assulted Bonaduche) a few weeks ago, or replaying Stuttering John AJ Benza thing, or the boxing matches.

It has nothing to do with hypocrisy or censorship. There are other issues that would dictate why we are not hearing the show replayed. Artie crossed a line that would force the involvement of Sirius Human Resources, and where HR is involved, so are corporate lawyers.

Chuck Zito is a different thing. He never did anything criminal or threatening to anyone employed by Sirius, or on the Sirius premises. The Artie situation isn’t a question of a crime being committed, it’s about Sirius responsibility to provide a safe working environment, and an environment where their employees feel safe coming to work. It’s not about reputation or criminal convictions, it’s about Sirius protecting their own financial interests, which would take a hit should they get sued, or should someone get hurt on the job.
Another possibility is that Howard is just trying to do a decent thing for his “bro.” Artie is losing it/has lost it. Howard has become a different person since he’s been in therapy, and it is possible that he feels that as a human being on the edge, it is healthier for Artie if that show isn’t replayed. We’ll find out next week, I guess.
As far as it being a fake, I guess we’ll also find that out next week. Personally, until then, I’m gonna buy into it.

It would be about Sirius employing someone who has a established a history of violent workplace behavior. If Artie were to stay with Howard and eventually get angry enough to get violent with another co-worker, that’s where the legal problems would start.

Artie would have swallowed up plenty more sympathy for himself and his problems if he hadn’t turned into such a raging, pathetic asshole the last year and a half or so. The only bad thing about loosing Artie on the show is the fact that the speeding freight train we have been listening to for the past 1.5 years has finally wrecked.
The guy ran out of material a long time ago.. he knows it, couldn’t handle it, and imploded.
Artie had all the finer qualities of Crazy Allice, Jeff the Drunk, Eric the Midget, etc. He was essentially a full time, paid whackpacker.
The best Shows were all those Mondays where George Takai took over Aties seat on the show. Too bad George has a career, he could fill the empty seat otherwise.

You guys are all correct - Ponyboy, Marlys et al. Throughout the past 1 1/2 year implosion, there have been occasions where I was listening and was getting so pissed off at Artie complaining and squandering a once in a lifetime opportunity. Everytime he fell asleep during a segment or called off sick it infuriated me. Howard would have let NO ONE ELSE get away with that. If he was allowed back after this last episode, it would be wrong, and they would simply be prolonging the inevitable. The sad thing is that Artie is a second rate stand up at best, and he will go the way of Jackie after he leaves the show. I know there are folks who will bash me for that comment, but it is true. “Jackie and Artie’s Joke Hunt”. I can see it now…..

It looks like this could be IT!!!! Artie could have actually quit the show. Sadness is the emotion that tops the list. There are two people I blame for this catastrophe. 1 Artie for his blatant denial of his real problems. 2. Howard for turning Artie’s life/health threatening ailments into on air bits. Howard should have manned up(off air)and dealt with Artie adult to adult. I do not want Artie to leave the show unless that is what it takes to get on a positive path.
