Good luck, dude…you run a great site here. It certainly helped me connect with other listeners last week, without having to turn to the ridiculous “SFN”. I’ll be listening!

  3. artiefan Says:

Yes, and I will work on trying to get the clip from Zolarvision as well on here. I was playing with a different way to get audio streaming on the site besides using You Tube , but i havent followed up with it.

  4. artiefan Says:

    thanks Ponyboy!

  5. Allison Says:

Cool Cool. I agree Ponyboy, I have always come to this site. Better and easier than SFN.

  10. artiefan Says:

Did i mention Arties Heart is the bomb as well! You should call in “in character”. lol

  11. Kamie Says:

I read something on another site that bears mentioning tonight on the Roundtable. It seems that everyone but Fred treated this very, very nonchanlantly - laughing, and chatting it up as if it were something as benign as Artie, I don’t know, riding the Sybian or something. Fred was the only person that said, in short: Artie, what you did was really fucked up and you really have to get some help. I guess that is what bothers me the most. Now all of a sudden, come Monday, it is a non-event. And what is it about Artie that gives him license to do whatever he wants? Is he that lovable? That funny? I don’t think so, but I may be in the minority.

  12. artiefan Says:

You aren’t too far off Kamie. I would even say Gary sounded pretty pissed. But the rest of them just wanted to get on with the show that in turn pissed off the listeners because they didn’t address it enough. Ralph’s half drunk ass called in and tried to say that but they dismissed him saying they spent the first hour of the show on it…. but there was no good stuff in it. Howard didn’t grill Artie — it was an ass kissing fest … which is fine - id probably be the same way… but I dont host the Howard Stern show either….

    Stern disconnected.

  13. Kamie Says:

Well, it should be a very interesting roundtable this evening. Break a leg and give us all the dirt tomorrow. I’ll try to listen but I may be stuck at work……

  14. Arties Heart Says:

Kamie you can’t say this isn’t par for the course? how many grown men have their mommies pay their bills? How many chances in life does a guy get? Artie blew the Mad TV gig over drugs. If not for the fact that being a fucked up out of control dickbag wasn’t showcased on Howards show he would have blown this gig also.

My point is for some reason people that Artie meets feel sorry for him or have compassion for him and let way to much shit slide when people like you and me and whoever else agrees with this thought either gets irked because they never got that kind of compassion or help, or have the perception that it’s insane and enabling to allow someone to continue do crap like this without consequence. There is little we can do aside from shaking our fists and whining about it.

I guess you can boil that whole paragraph down to…

    WWWWaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa………..

    Fuck you fat Artie….

  15. dirt Says:

tell mutt he is a fag kook, and his loser crew can’t compare
to the great folks here at save baby gorilla. It seems most of have
real lives that go on after the show is over.

  16. Kamie Says:

Artie’s Heart is correct. I guess people like Artie have enablers in their lives that allow them to continue to live in a certain fashion and if anyone does not enable - if they rock the boat - they are history (i.e. Dana). And yes, that pisses me off to no end. But what gets me exponentially pissed is that I never, ever expected Howard to fall into that category. One of the main reasons I have been a listener since 1986 is because Howard and Robin always said what I was thinking and was too afraid to say in polite company. I lived through that brutal honesty vicariously and would often marvel that he had the huge balls to say what he did, on the air no less. So, when I tuned in to “The View” this morning and heard a huge ass-kissing fest, as artiefan put it, I was apoplectic. I am not paying to listen to the fucking View. At the very least, Robin was furious, and we got a taste of that during her Girls Night Out tour (so lame) last week. So now she is not furious? Fucking bullshit. I also can’t believe how angry I am about this. It’s a freaking show, for God’s sake, and I am seething. Maybe because I have invested 22 years into the show and feel fucked.

  17. Kamie Says:

    Hi Fred…

  18. Darek in Orlangedo Says:

Look guys, I think we should all just be thankful that Artie is still on the show. Not fired, and not lying face down in a gutter in the Red Light District from a heroin overdose. Maybe Howard just thought the audience would get bored with a 5 hour discussion on the topic. He felt an hour and change was enough.

And of course Artie is gonna get special treatment. He’s GREAT at what he does. In other words, if Peyton Manning gets a DUI tonight, you think they’re gonning to kick him off the Colts? Of course not. If Will Murray tried to kill a guy in studio, it would be a different situation.

Also, being reckless is part of what makes Artie, Artie. I don’t think the show would be as entertaining if Artie went straight home from work, watched some TV, then drifted off to sleep at 9pm like the rest of them.

  19. artiefan Says:

Amen, artie being alive is good enough for me… but then again, artie dead would have been pretty interesting for a couple of days.

  20. ☆Ponyboy☆ Says:

just added this blog post…sorry for the ad…lol

  24. ctyanks23 Says:

The Sopranos reference was a great comparison.

  25. no thanks Says:

the only reason Artie remains on the job is because it is good for business. no one, especially Howard, gives a shit about Artie or his behavior. Howard is a total sell out, just like David Letterman (remember the early letterman days? funniest stuff on TV). It probably won’t be long until Howard is on Oprah helping to promote Beth’s new cookbook or something else just as lame. Money corrupts, it’s human nature.
