They just don’t care. Listeners have been screaming about this for years. It is a business decision. They want people tuning in regardless of a live show. The thing that they don’t really think about is that - the people who will listen when there is no show will listen, the people that won’t listen will tune out.
I do not listen to replays or master tape theatre anymore. So in my case I wasted a half hour expecting the show to be on. I tune in. There is Ralph. I said, hmmm thats interesting…. I continue to listen for 2 mins. Then I turn it off. That simple. You can’t trick me to listen if I don’t want to.

They treated yesterday like it was Thursday already, Howard said no Mike walker game today(wednesday).
There was a story in the daily news about Dolly parton going to sue over the audio clips Richard cut up of her book where she says “I love n*gger cock”

I don’t think the theory of one of his daughters graduating college is true either. I did a little research, Emily was born in 84, and Deborah in 87. Emily would have graduated already, but maybe a graduates degree? Plus Columbia’s commencement ceremonies aren’t until May 21st. Deborah it’s possible, I can’t find where she went to school. Depending on when she was born, she could have graduated high school at 17, I did.
And Ashley was born in 93, so not even high school graduation.

My 2 cents - i would rather listen to anyone (well except Ralph) live than hear any of the old tapes during the week. Play the old stuff on the weekends! I need live or sameday Howard (-esque) programming Mon - Fri.

Howard is starting to sound more and more like a cross between his father Ben and Imus. He is getting so full of himself. And he can shove his Howard TV up his ass. Now everything on the radio show is done in a way that if you dont have Howard TV you miss the comedy of the show. I remember back in the NBC days Howard used to swear up and down he wouldnt never sell or charge his fans for anything. Can you say JUMP THE SHARK. Shame I used to be a big Howard fan.

Sorry if I just missed it, but all this talk about Artie’s book has me anxious. Especially the Wrap Up show yesterday. Sounds like it’s still in development, so maybe they have no idea…but does anyone know if there has been any mention of a target date for the book to be available?
Biker…yeah it sux to have to pay for radio. But for the level of entertainment I still think it’s a great value. What is a year’s subscription, like $160? That’ll only fill your gas tank up 3 times. And at a good club you can blow that on lap dances in the course of 15 minutes!

I dont mind paying for SIRIUS but it seems most things done on the show end up with Howard saying “You have to see this on HOWARD TV to understand why it’s so funny” that pisses me off. I shouldnt have to pay twice to hear and see something. Stop gearing your bits towards HOWARD TV and do the radio show we are all paying to hear.
