This morning Howard brought up that he watched the movie Lars and the Real Doll over the weekend. He told Robin and Artie that they have to go see it. Howard told Artie that its the movie you wish you made because that is how he felt when he saw it.

So if Artie were to make a movie similar to it, what would that be?

I’ve just been told (by my lovely friend Brittny) Artie has been talking a lot about his past drug use, etc… on the wrap up show today. I will get it recorded for you all during the west coast feed. For now you can chat here about it.

WOW, If you missed the Wrap-up show - you missed a great story

When Artie first came into the studio he talked to Jon and Gary about what he had to go through to get back on the show. The answer will surprise you! Listen Here:

• He talked about how he drove to Delaware to score his drugs. He would leave right after the show and drive straight there. Sometimes the dealer wouldn’t show and he would have to go back the next day.
• Discussed about how he prevented his withdrawals by talking lots of Vicodin in a day. How sometimes his breakfast would consist of 15 perkasets.
• Went into a bit more in depth about how he quit just in time for Beer League and how he almost lost the movie.
• Mitch Hedberg and how his death helped him want to get clean
• Talked about how he resented Howard for a few days but it was clouded by all the drug use and he was acting like a drug addict

Looks like Artie may have hired someone. He said he will make an announcement soon. Sorry to everyone that emailed looking to get the gig. I wish I could have been more help.

Artie re-hires Teddy

Teddy is going back to work with Artie on the road as a “Stage Manager” along with JD. Howard responded by saying that Artie really needs to go to a shrink. And maybe Teddy does as well. Artie said Teddy did a really good job. I tried contacting Teddy for comment but I doubt I will get any response.

As we heard yesterday, Jerry O’Connell [Stand By Me, Jerry Maguire, husband of Rebecca Romijn] was in studio participating in the first Celebrity Superfan Challenge.

Afterwards during the wrap-up show Jerry talked about his worry and respect for Artie. He thought Artie should get a trainer or perhaps go for gastric bypass surgery. Gary mentioned that he brought up the surgery suggestion in the past and thought he may have offended Artie. Artie has maintained that he could lose the weight and only losers get that done. Gary felt Artie sees that as a last resort and Artie feels he isn’t there yet and can still lose the weight.

This morning Artie said that Jerry was “kind of the first celebrity” he had met when he went to the west coast.  Jerry was starring in the TV series Sliders at the time and he approached Artie at a social gathering and said, “I hear you are from Jersey”. Artie said that Jerry is an “extra-nice guy”.

Lisa Lampanelli was in studio yesterday announcing her upcoming radio city music hall gig and that she is thinking about attending fat camp. But while Lisa was taking her beauty shots, Artie was caught doing what Artie does best… being fat.

Well it’s that time of year again!!

Time to step up and give BIG to some little mountain gorillas in Rwanda. Last year we raised just over a hundred dollars to donate to the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund in the name of Artie Lange.

With that money we were able to adopt 2 baby gorillas and register Save Baby Gorilla as a member of the DFGF. This year we would like to raise at least $300 to adopt a Silverback Gorilla in the name of Artie Lange.
