About two and a half hours into the show today Artie commented that he was still having trouble staying awake during the show. Howard told Artie he could take a power nap. Will brought in an inflatable bed for him to sleep in. Artie expressed concern that he wouldn’t be able to sleep with Carly Simon, “I don’t know if i can go to sleep with her making all that racket”. After some debate of sleeping arrangements Artie opted for the green room.
The culprit? Lately he has been eating a bagel, breakfast burrito and cookies as well as his Hawaiian punch.

Matt, if you missed the show yesterday you missed a pretty funny line by Artie. He was talking about how great the man cave is and said, “I’m going to be up to my ass in pussy!” lol
I think the thing that pisses most people off the most, including me, is that Howard condones and enables Artie’s behavior. We all know that when Artie dies, Howard will do the fake ‘I should have done more to help him’ schtick.
Artie has the greatest job in the world…which hade made him a millionaire, for christ’s sake…and he has so little respect for Howard and the rest of the show members (and paying listeners) he can’t even stay fucking awake?
A little ‘bump’ in the morning could easily take care of that…but no…Artie just has to stick to heroin.

It is kind of funny, but he slept for most of the show, I think that’s kind of pathetic. It’s funny now but Howard will put his foot down eventually.
Who has it better than Artie? If i fell asleep at work, I think my boss would fire my ass. I agree with the other post, i think Artie is on something.
In Artie’s defense, all week the show was a snooze-fest.
Someone from the show should check the mileage on his car or EZPass account to see if he is making trips to Delaware. Or maybe a New Jersey State trooper who watches the show should be on the lookout for Artie’s car on frequest trips down the turnpike..

This poor fat bastard is obviously in trouble. Don’t be fooled “again”, nodding out and passing out by a KNOWN HEROIN addict are clear signs that he is using yet again. I feel terrible for him, and they all need to realize he is in serious trouble, but most importantly, Artie needs to realize it—sadly–he never will.
They should have had Artie sleep in the studio instead of the Green Room. Would have been a pretty good bit and have given Norris some more sound bites. Love the snoring one.

It seems like dope, but he’s taking Subutex. Can’t get high when you’re on that, and he takes it all the time. I hear Subutex gets you a little high, and maybe that also causes nodding off.
