The Never Ending XM-Sirius Merger
The proposed merger of the Sirius and XM satellite radio companies appeared close to final approval Wednesday, with the sole undecided member of the Federal Communications Commission poised to support the deal if the companies settle past rules violations.

Fuckin’ FCC! Extorting money is what they are doing. They can’t just approve the merger. They have to do it with strings attached.
FUCK THE FCC!!!

Charles Manson was NOT a Scientologist…he went over to their headquarters and out-conned them—they ruled him “beta-clear” i think…he also out-conned the primal scream therapists, amongst others: http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/serial_killers/notorious/manson/16.html
What the FCC should be persecuting is the ILLEGAL broadcast digital TV industry!!!
When colour TV came out, it [the signal] had to be compatible with the existing B&W sets—looks like those FCC commissioners are taking money under the table from everybody!!!!

Don’t forget that Sirius has an online form that you can contact the FCC with: http://capwiz.com/siriusmerger/issues/alert/?alertid=9871891

i agree — the never ending delays with this merger are outrageous… If these companies don’t merge, it wouldn’t be long before one of them went under financially (most likely XM). Monopoly, my ass!

As consumers it would be best for the two companies not to merge. They are already saying they want to raise the rates after a merger. Thaat is one of the sticking points, the FCC wants a 6 year price freeze that the companies want no part of. A merger will mean less content for more money with the proposed groups of channels. I personally think that these companies have spent crazy money on contracts and now are trying to blame the gov’t for their fincail woes by saying the hold up is going to bankrupt the companies. Almost all of the talent contracts were in place when the two companies were trying to slit each other’s throat. Everyone only listens to the bullshit Howard says on air and seemingly never ask if the merger will be good for each of us. It is good for Howard and gang because they have stock options that will probably double if suddenly there is a better fincail outlook
