A couple of Artie Lange comedy show notes (according to this site)
A performance over at the South Shore Music Circus in Cohasset that had been scheduled for Aug. 29 has been canceled and a show set for Aug. 30 at Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis has also been canceled.
I have not independtly confirmed the above.

IMHO, hands down, the best weeks seem to be when George Takei is in the studio. Although this week has been particularly heavy on the topic of all things gay, especially because George and Brad are getting married.

You are talking about a host and a show that pilloried Gary for the apology tape to an old girlfriend and Jackie for his apology to then wife Nancy Sirianni for the Jessica Hahn incident. This is also the same host that would do the condescending bits of the gay films playing at the Bijou Theater. And what happens this week?
Segment 1. George Takei and show members watch brief clip of a gay cock sucking movie.
Segment 2. George is cheered on by Howard and show members as he feels a 14″ cock
Segment 3. George judges cutest cock contest.
This current show deserves the same fate as livestock diagnosed with mad cow disease. Howard please do us all a favor and make next week’s vacation a permanent one.

Howard has earned it. 4 day work weeks, 100 mil a year, and 10 weeks vacation a year. You guys would turn that down after busting your ass and making great radio for nearly 30 years? Yeah it sucks and we all want them live every week, so let’s just be happy they are on at all.

Is this something new? I had Howard TV last year but not Sirius, but a friend told me that last summer they took ridiculous vacation time during the summer as well. Off two weeks, work a couple weeks, then off another two. Mainly because it’s summer and the weather is actually nice in NYC.
I think after Labor Day the vacations will be a lot less frequent. Howard said they don’t even take all the vacation Sirius give them, that he feels guilty.
I agree with Allison. Howard could have just gotten fed up with radio, said the hell with it, and enjoyed his millions and relaxed the rest of his life. Maybe get into the movie industry like he’s always talking about, but it wouldn’t be the same. So I’m just happy he’s still around. And while there were some unforgettable moments over the years, I still think the show is better than ever.
