Scott has COPD - crush on pretty debutante.

Wow, “Sunshine of your Love” cover wasm’t good.
August 27th, 2008 at 11:10 am
even though the constant vacations kinda suck, I thought the “Sirius So Far” special 2 weeks ago was pretty good. this week’s Loser special has been a let down, I haven’t listened for more than 5 minutes before turning to another channel
August 27th, 2008 at 11:11 am
I missed that special,.. i really havent listened too much this week. I just turned it on at the start of noon hour repeat… its ok but only listening cuz im falling asleep at work… wait, this might not be a good idea

You know what i used to hate about these shows where they played music… the mix of the music the audience would here was fine… but there was always some crappy mix that apparently they heard in the studio. Then Howard would bitch out scott for a shitty mix when it wasnt that bad for us.

im done with the show for the day. too much music for the week by now. ill listen tomorrow to the good stuff and see if it will change.

Have Mackenzie Phillips and Artie been partying? I guess she was handing out Mensa literature at LAX this morning.

I have to agree with Mike. “Sirius So Far” was excellent. Much better than any “Best of Stern” shows in the past.
Regarding the ridiculous amount of vacation, is there any fan site on the web that has the facts on this? I’d be real interested in how much vacation time they’ve had since their time on Sirius.
Think about it, any major Holiday for the rest of us (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas) is an instant 2 weeks off for the Stern Show; that’s 8 weeks right there. And we know there’s a chunk (on the tip of my dick) of single weeks throughout. By my guesstimation that’s at least 10 - 12 weeks/year. Fuckin’ A that’s alot!!

I gotta say that the History of Howard, and the Jackie and Billy spotlights were top notch. Roast week…damn funny.
Sirius So Far…Gutless for not including Artie’s fight with Teddy & Walkout… Absolutely gutless. Coward Stern. There were some classic things, and some absolutely bland and meaningless things….IE: Scott Baio?!?
Game show week, Mammary Lane, The Losers….that kind of stuff…embarrassingly bad, I’m sorry.
Toofy, you’re spot-on.
I would love to see if there is web documentation of just how much time they take off in a calendar year now that they’ve moved to Sirius.
I’m just proud that SBG doesn’t behave like a Nazi police state like SFN…because we all would have been thrown off the site long ago for daring to question Howard.

Did you just say Nazi?!?!? THATS IT YOU ARE OUT OF HERE…lol jk

Here is what WikiAnswers had to say:
Q: How many days vacation does Howard Stern take each year?
A: He takes 10 weeks vacation each year, On the other 42 weeks of work he has off every friday, so to answer your question he has 92 vacation days a year.
He works a total of 168 days in a year. Of those the most he works now is a little less than 5 hours a day.
Now if you add all that up he will work approximately 4200 hours in his 5 year contract which was worth $500,000,000,plus he already recieved a $83,000,000 bonus. So he is working for the paltry sum of $138,809 an hour. Its a wonder he can make ends meet.

I have to say, listening to repeats or to faggot shit whenever George Takai is on, I will take a repeat ANY day. I like George, but seriously, the fag stuff is way too much. Howard shouldnt try so hard to show everyone he is a liberal and ‘gay’ freindly. I love how every time Artie says something ‘controversial’ that Howard berates him for being ‘racist’ or ‘homophobic’. Fuck that shit, Artie is hilarious no matter what fuckin racist fag shit he says…Its just damn funny.
August 28th, 2008 at 6:40 am
I read SFN too from time to time and all I ever hear about is complaints and people pissed at Howard and the crew, I just dont get it. If you dont like the show, stop listening to it. I have been listening to the show since ‘97, and all I can say is that even with its faults, its the best damn piece of daily entertainment out there and I for one am going to miss it dearly once its gone…
August 28th, 2008 at 7:47 am
The History of Howard was really top notch… I enjoyed it as much as listening to a live show, especially with the music additions throughout as well.
As for George Takei, yes I think that the show was a little “gay” last week, but the addition of George really adds another level to the show and makes it that much better when he is live in the studio.
August 28th, 2008 at 7:54 am
I think all of the gay Sal & Richard behavior has really pushed the whole “homo” theme way too far. Richard always says that they do this stuff for the show…to go places others won’t. They don’t seem to understand that if you aren’t mortified by having to do that shit, no one wants to see it. They don’t want to see the gay shit, they want to see someone squirm b/c they have to do something that they never would otherwise. That day when Sal was flexing his hemorrhoid in Richard’s face and took a shit on the studio floor, it really was just gross. Between that and they insanely loud queefs the anal ring toss chick was blowing out, it was too much.
August 28th, 2008 at 7:58 am
Agreed. But I have to say that at first I was mortified when Richard and Sal started doing it… so that took the place of the participants having to be grossed out but now since we are used to it, they need to go back to the original formula.

HOWIE IS JUST AN OLD FART WHO REALLY DOESNT GIVE MUCH OF A SHIT ABOUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN MONEY, MONEY, HOWIE, CHESS, MONEY AND BETH…..IN THAT ORDER (THE FANS ARE WAY AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE LIST).
August 29th, 2008 at 10:59 am
HOWARD ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY!!??
HOLY SHIT!!! I’D NO IDEA!!!

I have a theory that Howard is edging towards sabotaging the show so that it will be easier for him to walk away in a few years. The guy is obviously done. He whines daily about not wanting to come, and watch he’ll whine the day they come back…”Man, i really didn’t want to wake up today” and Robin will anxiously agree.
They’ve both flipped over to being these upper class NY liberals and couldn’t be more embarassed of being affliated with the show. The fact that Howard is letting Mark Consuelos marry he and beth (let alone attend) is sign enough he’s lost touch.
Artie is a long time fan of the show, and I think subconsciously has quit twice because he knows its a sinking ship whose legacy is on the way out as well.
Sad sad stuff. Artie should leave while he can.

@ pele - Im not sure its a conscious decision but I think they are for the most part ready for retirement.
