I saw Arthur on Conan last night and thought he was pretty funny. He’s always a lot more relaxed on Conan and Kimmel vs Letterman. He might have even been a little TOO relaxed if ya get my drift. haha.
Agreed. And we all know how Artie handles pressure. If he has to do ANY entertaining to do on top of the Stern show in a day, he gets super stressed. Yesterday he had the show, book signing, npr interview, and Conan. Not to mention the stress of how book sales were doing. Plus I found it odd he kept the sunglasses on for the entire Conan interview.
Then there was showing up 50 minutes late to work. I understand he had a big day, but Conan was his last appearance as far as I know, and they tape around 5pm or earlier I think. So it’s not like he didn’t have time to get sleep in before today.
Oh well, all my pontificating aside, I find it interesting but really could care less what he does personally. I hope he doesn’t OD obviously, but I’m not trying to break balls.
When or IF you read the book, you will see the pattern in Artie’s life that whenever he has to do something big, whether its promoting or TV show prep, whenever its something important he gets overly stressed about it and hits the drugs.
Its most likely why lately he has been saying that all he wants to do is drugs. Now if he can stay sober through this period it will help him later on be able to face these things in his life without going to the drugs.
Interesting. Oh believe me, I left tire skid marks in the parking lot at work I tore outta there so fast on my way to get the book. The stupid Virgin Megastore close to where I work didn’t have it, so I had to fight mall traffic to go to Books-a-Million. Well worth it though. I’m 100 pages in already. Even had a Jack and water as a Salud to Artie while I read.
Jesus H, am I gay or just a geek. I really hope it’s the latter.
You know what they should do, string together all those strained “uhhh” ahhhh” sounds that Artie makes when he begins a sentence, and pair them up with the sounds of Richard crapping, and you would have the sound of Artie taking a dump.
Come on, dont let all the brainwashing of the current politico make you NOT laugh when something is funny….Ol’ Hooker-Bait was great on Conan! His impression of Tracey Morgan was spot on, whot whot! Even the audience seemed a little nervous to laugh. I laughed HISTERICALLY if i may say so.
Carlos ‘I stole your material’ Mencia has made a huge career of doing silly white voices, hell, even hispanic voices…hehe.
Cant wait to hear the Artie grunts strung together…hahahahahaha.
And Gary saying “Listen:” at the start of his sentences.
I cant think of the stuff Robin repeats, I don’t think she does. Freddy doesn’t really speak too much. I just think its funny that they bust on JD, and they have similar ticks themselves. If they could have a team contest, might be funny, not sure how they’d work it though.
His Letterman appearance was much better. I myself thought that maybe there was something sinister with his appearance but on the show yesterday he said that he kind of blew off the pre-interview and decided to kind of wing it. I guess it didnt work to well, although i do love watching shows that have unexpected uncomfortable quiet moments.
somehow I cant see the updated stuff but my two cents are that the book so far is great, and whatever the contest is please post below because im game.
