After 14 seasons Mad TV, the show that helped launched Artie Lange’s career, is getting cancelled. Also ending are the reruns that air on Comedy Central. The word is that other networks might be interested in picking the show up and producers are looking to continue with the show.

I read the news yesterday and the first thing came to my mind was Artie, and I dont know if Artie becomes happy about it (because he got fired) or sad.
I’m not sure he would be happy because he was fired… in his book he praises Fox and the Mad TV crew for all their help … his drug problem was the reason why he couldnt come back to the show and they gave him every opportunity to make it back.
it’s about 12 years too late. how many skits do you have to see where an old guy plays a little kid with a lollipop running around in his Dr. Dentons, or some fat asian chick in a nail salon.
enough already–
Honestly, when I came across it (rarely) on TV, I always thought it was nothing but re-runs. Wow, I never knew it was still being made.
I cannot remember anything funny on there…Maaaaayyyyybe that lady that acts like the Korean woman, thats it. Wont be missed.
I only watch the reruns, i didnt know it was still on. I actually did take a liking to the old episodes..
Personally I liked the show, Will Sasso, Artie Lange, especially Michael McDonald and Moe Collins were great. Frank Caliendo was decent there too. But they all left.
This year’s cast was dreadful.
I belong to a comedy troupe here in Boston that could make Mad “Must See TV”.
Check out Gary Leavitt and Friends on youtube for some of the skits.
Hey David Salzman were ready to make it happen on another network for you.
