oh i saw watchmen on friday night. Good movie just drink a giant redbull during the movie or you will find yourself bored for an hour. its not a bad movie just moves slow at times.

Not much from the bits and pieces of the show I’ve heard. Apparently some head guy at The Bachelor tells Howard he’s actually interested in somehow incorporating ETM on the show. Eric didn’t sound too grateful to Howard for trying to work him in there. Shocking.
Oprah gets 50 mill a year from Sirius XM and it’s just her friends doing the shows, she doesn’t do anything. And she doesn’t even promote Sirius on her TV show.

Watchmen was a movie full of political bs, with lame ass superzeros. Why is the main chick always poppin her top in every movie or TV show she does?

I’ve only been listening for the past 30 mins on Howard 100. Absolutely nothing going on. Well, they have been playing the video clips of the people in love with inanimate objects.

If they are ragging on Oprah and Riley for being extremely boting (I agree!)….why do they think we would enjoy hearing clips of their shows for an hour?

Howard went on for 15 minutes how he was in love with Tracy Morgan. Howard is such a star fcker.
Pretty sad that the show is so stale that you can’t tell an old show from a new one.
It is sad that Howard has great Knicks seats yet cannot name a player… He is the only one that watches the halftime show (thought that might be better than watching the knicks play)

The day Howard and Robin and the rest of the show came out of the closet on air as hard core, kool-aid drinking liberals / Obama supporters was the day they alienated half of their remaining audience.
It also makes the 9/11 show and the shows in the weeks and months following it make them sound like hypocrites who were just trying to get ratings.
They are so politically around the bend that they actually had that wack job Jesse Ventura on and listened with fascination as he spouted LUNATIC “9 / 11 Was an inside job” Ravings, and have even had Rosie O’Donnell back.
I listen to the show when I can tolerate listening to it. I never listen to the news any more, and haven’t since the Bush bashing started years ago.
It’s also a disgrace, as Robin is a veteran trashing our own military.
As soon as I hear anything political come out of anybody’s mouth or the news starts, the radio channel immediately changes.
They honestly just don’t get it, and that is tragic.
Its sad that we are all feeling this way about a show we all have clearly loved and put time into. Are we changing or has the show just really gone down hill?
Honestly, I turned off the show… not for any reason. Just needed to do stuff but I can’t imagine I am missing much today
Can’t listen today-My poor old dog just had a seizure which expained what’s been going on with him for the last couple of weeks. I have to take him to the vet today and let him die peacefully, not while having another seizure. Alpha’s sad today:(

Thanks AF-he’s been having seizures at night while we’re asleep. When he seizes he pees. We just thought he was waking up and not making it far enough to scratch on the door and wake us up. This morning he seized in front of us and it made sense. He’s had a good life with us-I adopted him from a bad situation and he’s had a happy home. This is hard but I don’t want him suffer another seizure-that was awful to watch.
Awww. It sounds like you are doing the right thing then. You gave him a good life and that’s all we can do for our pets. Trust me, I understand. I’ve been in your shoes a few times. I wish there was more i can say.

WTH is going on with the show? I have only been a daily/hardcore listener for about 2 years and some days I would even get up at 3am (I’m on the west coast) just to listen to the new show, but it has been lackluster and disappointing lately.
H just retold the exact Rush story that I didn’t care about last week. Not interesting or entertaining.
I am missing the major soap opera drama with Artie, hearing Ronnie yell, and stuff like that. Artie seems different, not so into contributing much that’s worthwhile.
Also Jillian Barberie – she tries too hard and isn’t funny and now they all love her and hang out with her? Beyond my personal encounters with her (she bugs) there were the wedding stories like her ruining the song and the slap game, how do they tolerate her and ask her to host Howard TV shows?
I do still enjoy ETM though.
I will shut up now, I’m procrastinating – back to my pointless job search…

I made the mistake of taking time off when I was initially laid off and now there’s a gap in my resume, it sucks. Plus nobody can afford marketing people so I have no freelance happening.

They’ve always been political. I started listening back in the early 90’s. After Clinton was elected, the whole Monica Lewinski deal and their support of Clinton. I’m not going to go to far to the right, but at the end of the day the guy charged with defending the Constitution lied under oath. That’s not a good thing. To defend the lying, regardless of the events creating the lie, is when I was jaded by Howard and the gang.
In the middle of the Lewinski saga, Howard promotes his movie/biography as a great husband and father only to get divorced. He is and Egomaniac.
Guess what, so is Rush Limbaugh. You’ve got to be to spew, and believe, the crap they both push everyday.
Oh yeah, Howard and Rush share the same birthday….what’s that all about??!!
Anyway, I turn the dial when Howie starts going into his far left diatribes. He is no longer the common man. He changed when he signed the $500M contract. He buys Robin a $100M Mercedes, a $50MM home in the Hamptons, and $800 bottles of wine for dinner. He no longer worries about paying a mortgage, putting food on the table to feed his family or figuring out how to pay for his children’s education.

To me the show was boring but an attributing factor to me was this fucking daylight savings. I am fucking tired, cranky, pissed off, want to eat a shitload of food etc. So knowing this and the fact that I even prepared to sleep early, I can understand that the show was kind of shitty today due to that.

Sorry to hear about your pet, I have been in that place a few times over the years and it never gets easier.
Our pets become part of our life and we become attached to them, their time with us seems always too short. But whatever suffering he was enduring, its gone now and thats a good thing you did for him. Lift your heart, his spirit is free now, I am sure in some way, he will always be by your side…
Puhlease!!! Howard has been liberal on social issues for almost as long as he has been on the air. For just as long, he has been very conservative on almost all other issues including, among other things, the death penalty, taxes and welfare. However, to somehow claim his show is a liberal version of Limbaugh or, in fact, even a “political show” in any way, shape or form may just be two of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard. Whether you like him or hate him, Howard’s schtick for his entire career has been to express his opinions in a humorous way on whatever happens to be the news of the day, whether that news is pop culture, the weather, a natural disaster or, yes, politics. For the last eight years, being saddled with the worst president in the history of the United States, yes, politics has been what people are talking about, and, thus, that is what Howard has, on occasion, talked about, too. However, listening to Howard for his political opinions and taking them seriously rather than in the way they were intended… as humor…. is just as dumb as listening to Limbaugh or Ann Coulter and taking them seriously. Limbaugh and Coulter, et al. are doing schtick as well. Their schtick is just conservative politics rather than humor. Since conservatism, much like nazi-ism, is nothing more than platitudes (often covertly racist and/or prejudiced but platitudes just the same) that do not provide solutions to any real problem facing this country or the world, any moron can claim to be a disciple. As John Stuart Mill once said: “I never meant to say that the Conservatives are generally stupid. I meant to say that stupid people are generally Conservative. I believe that is so obviously and universally admitted a principle that I hardly think any gentleman will deny it”. Truer words were never spoken. If you feel that Howard’s show is somehow “too liberal” for you, I would submit that, in fact, it is just too intelligent for you, and you are missing the joke. If that is the case, stick with Rush and his cronies. His show and his statements rarely require more than a second-grade education to understand. It is right up the alley for those lacking in basic intellect.
I really enjoy how fanatic followers of Liberalism (like the loser post above) constantly link Conservatism with Nazi’s or other hate groups, as well as saying ‘Conservatives are dumb/stupid/racist’. Honestly, throwing the race card out to win an argument or further your point is the basest of base, the lowest of low.
Look schmuck (again referring to guy posting above), this isnt a political blog to rant and rave on whenever someone puts pressure on your Liberal arteries and disagrees with you. Get over it. Thank God the world has people that are different, how boring would it be if we all thought the same way?
If you are so mistaken to think that Howard Stern is some ‘deeply political satire’ and there is a high-brow humor rather than dick and fart jokes, then YOU are the one who is misguided. The show has always been about dick and fart jokes, just a bunch of mooks wasting some time and making us laugh.
Dont make Howard out to be some deep thinking genius of the left who is ‘having a go’ at us ‘idgits’ that dont get the joke. Jokes on you pal, Howard is about as deep as a bowl of soup. A talented and funny bowl of soup, but still…
