Holy crap! He looks HORRIBLE! Can we stop being in denial and admit that he is still using? As far as the interview goes, could he be any less interested?
A co-worker of mine told me this morning that Artie sounded like he was high today (dec 2). Didn’t hear the show myself, anyone else notice this today?
Yeah, dude’s sounding like that other Artie this week, the slow-talking, slower witted one who says less and doesn’t pay attention as much, who tries to chime in and is usually off point when he does.
His eyes in this video are whack, like this guy I knew who worked the night shift at the local gas station and was addicted to prescription painkillers. Good guy, but whacky eyes from all the pills.
It’s definitely the “OLD” Artie again. From the sound of his voice, to his whacky behavior in studio which Howard was commenting on. The new “wheezing” noise etc.
“Don’t you know you never win, when you’re hooked on heroin.” Ramones “Love Kills”, song about Sid and Nancy. I think its on the Animal Boy album. (Yeah I was a big Ramones fan..)
Artie is back on the horse. If you watch htv from two weeks before the vacation, he is awake and groomed. The week of prior to vacation and this week, he’s been sleepy the entire time. He looks like complete shit now.
He’s using again. No doubt. Even a tired guy would get cleaned up a bit for this, and comb his hair (and not slur his speech). A dude (or chick) on drugs just doesn’t give a shit. This is a mess. His family needs to have him locked up in a psych ward, for real. Poor guy, poor family.
i never can tell if he’s fucked up or not. what i do know fer sure is he really should shave. he looks better with no facial hair. and wtf is going on with his hair? if he would just do something with his hair and shave he’d look a lot better.
Not for nothing, this is the same way he appeared on LETTERMAN…dude just doesn’t care, period…he was probably pissed off he had to stay after the show to do this interview…
Think about it…he never takes nay of this seriously…

Oofah, he looks and sounds terrible. He looks like a homeless person. I guess he really doesn’t care what happens to his career? Even the other standups that come into the studio recognise the need for a “look”, some style, anything. I mean, Howard’s going to be off the air in a year and then where will he be?
Howard will never goof on the golden boy slash junkie Artie, at least not in the mean spirited and targeted ways he has gone after Bababooey, both Scotts, Sal, Richard, and countless others. We all know Howard is afraid of the ticking time bomb that is Artie, and that’s why he is such a pussy when it comes to dealing with him.
As far as the “not caring” style. Sure plenty of people aspire to it. They’re called drug addicts.
Ohhhh you guys are sooo gullible He was pouring it on there a bit but I do think he is def fucked up on the regular, I wouldn’t say heroin but probably blues or roxicets. It’s not something that can make you go through crazy withdrawals(as long as u keep doing them) but when u mix alcohol into it which I know for FACT he is drinking then that would explain the day off, but some coffee and two roxis and you feel like a new man although with the way Artie starts the show I’m guessing he keeps popping them because he starts alert somewhat lately and tapers off towards the end of the show DAmmmmmmmmmmmnnN!!! I wish I had that job lol!!
Wow this just makes me sad……don’t die on us Artie I just discovered your genius comedy talent and dying “the funny chubby drug addict” has been done to death! So cliche…..you’re better than that. Prove ‘em all wrong live another 20 years and make a kickass movie of your life!!!

While, I don’t consider him a total jerk. The Real Dave is kind of right here. Its Artie style to “not care”… that’s his character (like robin).
