Artie Lange interviewed by The Star-Ledger

Artie answers questions about life after Stern, his next book, Richard Lewis, the new CD and more.

Q. Will it be like the first book — a bunch of anecdotes?

A. Yeah and, again, Random House — big company. For the second book, we said, “Look, the first book did great. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Maybe for the third book, if this does well … but for the second book, they were like, “Do you have any more loser stories?” I’m like, “Oh my God, a closet full of them.” That’s what we’re doing. It’s going to be like another 14 chapters — nothing linear, just each story standing by iteself. The same exact format.

Q. What is your gut feeling on whether Howard will re-sign with Sirius/XM?

A. You know, honestly, everybody thinks that we all have inside information. I really don’t. I don’t think Howard even knows now. I’m pretty positive negotiations haven’t started. My gut feeling is, if he does come back, there will be an amendment in the schedule, in some way, shape or form. But I don’t know anything at all about that.
