Always somehow pulls up out of these drug and drama filled nosedives to tend to his standup career appearances. Never for the Stern show.

Oh Artie. You know exactly what you’re doing — so please do the right thing instead! You keep saying you will.

I must say I continue to be impressed. Amid the drug addled haze that is his life, he remains so damned sharp and funny when he shows up. (Listening to the last week of November.)

Hey, another fuck you to the HSS. But I guess that’s the norm now.

So much for “all shows cancelled”. Before the Artie shills chime in, I know he has said local shows only, but really shouldn’t he just stop for awhile?

  3. artiefan says:

He said local “show” i believe, this one. Regardless of how many, the dude needs help and he’s doing what he’s gotta do. Like Howard ain’t doing what he’s got to?

Not sure how doing this is a fu to hss. Its just a comedy show.

  4. HackPack says:

a comedy show that normally would make maybe $100 bucks to see Artie Lange from MADTV, but instead because of the HOWARD STERN SHOW he will bring in thousands!! so therefore its a big F.U. to Stern because as you notice, he almost NEVER fails to miss a gig because of his “illness”

  5. artiefan says:

Like Howard cares about thousands…. And he has missed gigs to illness. First of all he cancelled his next 3 which would make him much more money than whatever this can pay. 1 being MGM Grand at Foxwoods, which he had canceled a year or two ago because he went to rehab.

  6. artiefan says:

FYI – If anyone thinks that Artie is screwing Howard Stern show with this appearance. You are wrong. The whole thing is being filmed for Howard TV.

  7. Alpharaider says:

    So there, bitches!

  8. TwaTwaTwatter says:

artiefan, that was hardly the point. (That is, it’s completely irrelevant that Howard TV might be filming the appearance.)

The point (at least mine) was that while Artie no longer even has a pretense of hesitation or regret about bailing out for days before vacations, he manages to miraculously pull out of his funk and his demons in order to tend to his other career. It would be nice if he afforded the Howard Stern Show the same consideration and dedication as a freakin’ comedy club.

Anyhow, I wish him well. Happy holidays to you and everyone here at SBG.

  9. artiefan says:

Thanks for the holiday wishes and same to you.

And if that wasnt “a” point you were trying to make, then why did you bring it up 2 more times in your last reply and change the Howard TV thing to a maybe… there is no maybe, it IS a htv event.

  10. HackPack says:

so much for the whole “i think Artie is at his drunk driving classes” theory you had artiefan…i know your trying to lather up his asshole so you can get on the gravytrain, but face the facts, HE IS OUT AGAIN and it wasnt driving classes!! we all knew it, but your either delusional or busy with your head up his ass

  11. FeeFi&FoFum says:

Artie’s out again…There’s some news. WTF!

  12. artiefan says:

yup, so much for driving class

  13. Andreb says:

Hey Matt could you confirm on the comix standup website if Artie is still appearing for a live therapy session?
It looks like he was replace by Jim Florentine….

  14. artiefan says:

    Checking right now, thanks
