Jack and Coke on Comedy Central Tonight

Not sure what to watch tonight? Well, Comedy Central is premiering Jack and Coke tonight at 10pm EST. I am not sure if it will be censored. I think they do uncensored material after midnight, so perhaps the 1am showing will be different? The full DVD is 90 minutes but only 60 minutes will air. Check your local listings.

Update: The 10pm showing was censored. I counted give or take a couple, 165 bleeps. LOL. The Secret Stash version at 1am EST will be uncensored.

Comedy Central’s “secret stash” airs uncut material after 1.

A couple of years ago I never thought I’d be saying this, but I sure miss Chaz Bono. : )

  2. stiney says:

  6. bigMIKE says:

  7. Tommy G. says:

J&C was pretty damn funny! Not only that, it was the best I’ve seen Artie look in years. Good Job Fats!

  8. Frank says:

watching it on Comedy Central was a waste. every third word was beeped. CC is gay

  9. Frank says:

Ok guys have fun sucking cock!.

    FIIIIIIIIREEEEEE! \../

  11. Justintoxicated says:

I watched both, the 90 minute run was a lot better because they left in the sesame street characters getting aids bit. He looked younger there than he did 5 years ago. Hope he gets help and gets back to calling people “faggots” and using the N word.

  12. miter benesdurty? says:

I just don’t know why he felt the need to bring out his sister and one of his “keep me off drugs” body guards at the end, and then thank the entire HSS. More than ironic, it seems weird considering what has happenned.

Overall, J&C is good. Just wonder what he’ll be joking about in the future, if/when he does sober up. By the way, I am of the notion that yes, even Artie, can be funny without having to say faggot or the N word.

  13. Claire says:

The late airing was not censored at all. It was, however, the same standup routine that he did here in Wetbury, New York last year. Nothing new other than bringing his sister on stage and maybe one joke or two.

He kept saying how his sister and his mother “saved his life” – little did he know how much more true those words would become.

I love Artie on the Stern show but don’t see what is so great about his stand up. But I wish him a speedy recovery and that he is back on the radio soon!

  14. Sal Monella says:

Are we allowed to make negative comments on Artie’s DVD, standup routines, or books here?

  15. Jeff from NJ says:

Enjoyed the special on Comedy Central. His parting words to the people at the Stern Fan Network “I’m still alive” were kinda chilling knowing what was in store for him down the road. Really makes me miss the big guy. The show just ain’t the same without him.

I didn’t hear the early part of the show yet, but later on Howard did make a reference to “Robin visiting Artie in the hospital”. Did anybody else catch that? I sure don’t recall Robin having visited Artie before his initial release, so this implied a totally new kind of hospital is involved.

  16. artiefan says:

Last week Robin said she had visited Artie and so Gary and Fred

  17. Jeff from NJ says:

@ Artiefan But they never said the word “hospital”, did they? I sure don’t recall that, and I was listening for details. They just left things very vague, except for Robin’s “crazy chicks” comment and Fred saying the walls were bare.

  18. Alpharaider says:

No Jeff, but they let enough slip that it sounded that way. Howard is shitty with terminology-hospital means the same thing as treatment center to him. I don’t care where Artie is as long as he’s getting help. I definitely miss his presence on the show-there’s really something missing.

  19. Ed Lawrence says:

When I watched it I had this weird sensation and it took me a bit to figure out what it was. I finally realized it was the same reaction that I get when I watch Sam Kinison, a great funny talented guy full of all the life in the world that is having a bad time out running a demon in his life.
Thank God that we still have Artie, unlike Sam.
The ending of the show made me think that maybe, and again JUST MY OPINION, that Artie was proud of what he had done beating all the substance abuse…and maybe proud of it for the first time ever… he saw that people were proud of him, he saw all the people that helped him get there…and he may have just been too tempted but did not want to go back and saw death as the only way to forever destroy that bridge he had crossed in a way that he could never cross it again. I hope now he sees all the other ways he can stay where he was proud to be.

  20. I Hate Medicated Pete says:

No Sal Monella, any negative comments about Artie’s CD, DVD, Book, Stand up act, Aluminum laced deoderant, favorite foods or taste in clothing is JUST WRONG and hurtful to Artie and his family!!! What’s wrong with you vicious bastards!?! WAAAA! :)

PS-Any comments about his bald spot or Beer League will be deleted!!

  21. Arties Favorite Herpes Laced Hooker says:

howard talked more about artie on that rosie show.

  22. WHHHHHAAAAA says:

Anyone know what Howard said on Rosie about Artie?

While we all wish Artie well, how many less fortunate that he want to slap him in his face and tell him to appreciate how good his life can actually be?

Wake up Artie and get help – then – live a long, happy and healthy life.

You can do it you fat, ugly fuck.

    WWWWHHHHHHHHAAAAAAA!

  23. Arties Favorite Herpes Laced Hooker says:

he just mentioned more about the call and saying he has to talk on a public line in a treatment facility and wasnt at his home.

  24. Alpharaider says:

curious, google “shithead” and find a website to post on. If you got the boot from SFN your certainly not welcom here.

  25. Maelstrom says:

I miss that motherfucker. Artie and Howard riffing is one of the greatest organic phenomena in the history of radio.

  26. bravo 2-0 says:

Funnier than “It’s the Whiskey Talking” but not by much.

  27. Tada Mass says:

our copy was all censored. so hard to take. bleep bleep.

did not hear howard and rosie today, but who can say about artie but those who have walked in those shoes. not I.

let’s just wish the best and hope he can dig himself back to us all.

or at least to stacey and his mom

  28. I Hate Medicated Pete says:

I know this is ancient history, but I missed a few years of the show. What exactly happened between Steppin’ Out magazine and Howard? I remember when Chauncy was going for John’s job…now they hate each other. If anyone can help, please do. Ba ba booey to y’all.

RIP KKK (Kenneth Kieth) Fuck Daniel Carver, the FCC, and the Brian Blair!

  29. miter benesdurty? says:

@ IHMP – Awhile back, Howard started having Chance Hayden of Steppin’ Out (local rag) on I guess because Chaunce was a fan and typically wrote positive articles about the HSS. Over the course of a few years Chaunce became a bit wack pack-ish, showing up at HSS events here and there, sometimes invited sometimes not. I’m not sure if the HSS actually liked him or not. He was kinda’ Vinnie Favale-ish, ya’ know?

Anyway, Howard and the gang never truly respected the guy, and Chaunce never seemed like a genuinely likable person to begin with. He seemed a bit sleazy and just a hanger-on who was riding on coattails (somewhat) of the popularity of the HSS, i.e. plugging his shitty rag all the time, making outlandish claims, trying to inject himself into the show etc. Finally, he leaked some dumb story to the Post about Howie back during the Martha Stewart scandal, unrelated of course, and so Howard pretty much cut ties with this slimeball. The show is better off, as NOBODY misses Chaunce at all.

  30. I Hate Medicated Pete says:

Awesome! Thanks for the info Miter….great handle btw XD I just learned Howard and Cabbie hate each other now too! WTF happened there? I hate to keep asking, but if I want to know what happened, is there a way to look it up? I tried Mark’s Friggin and SFN but couldn’t find anything on the story. On an Artie note, from what I hear sounds like Artie doesn’t really want or need to come back…sadly, I think Art is done with the show for good. Ah, maybe that’s for the best, we’ll miss him but Arties gonna do what Arties gonna do.

  31. I Don't Dance says:

Gotta admit, this site isn’t as fun since matt started filtering all the headlines and comments. I use to come everyday but now it’s only once a week on Thursday.

  32. artiefan says:

Im only filtering comments of people who are being overtly asshole-ish (is that a word) — But honestly, there really isn’t much for headlines (news) out there. I am also out of state right now and have been out of my schedule. Sorry y’all.

  33. I Don't Dance says:

I wasn’t trying to be a dick, sorry Matt. I appreciate what you do for the site I just wish everything would go back to normal with Artie and everything. There really is something about that Johnny Cash- Hurt video that gets to you. Seeing him all young and thin is really sad that his life ultimatley lead to this decision.

  34. artiefan says:

Thats ok, I didn’t really think you were being a dick. You are pointing out what I do realize. It does kind of suck lately.

  35. Bahahaha says:

The world is a much happier place with Artie in it. Get well soon!

  36. Trixie says:

does anyone know when Comedy Central plans on reairing Artie’s show? I missed it the first time around.

  37. Alpharaider says:

I miss our baby gorilla more every day:-(

  38. Bernadette says:

    I miss him too…

  39. laura palmer says:

i miss him too. woke up thinking about it and still am. hope he is doing well. same for you, matt.

  40. Wennies says:

They played ‘Mr. Crowley’ on the show last week and it made me cry and miss Artie so much.
