Bob Levy: They Just Killed Him

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

The Rev. Bob Levy responded to fans during his 4/20 Levyland show in which he ranted about the Howard Stern show, the loss of Miserable Men and blamed the HSS for Artie’s continual problems.

The following quotes start around the 4:22 mark in the video (below).

“Did Howard fire Artie? No. They just killed him. There’s a difference there. You know what I mean? He should have been in rehab a year ago, but I’m not even gonna talk about that, but it’s sad. It’s really sad. He shoulda been off the show a year ago, gettin’ help. If it’s funny to watch someone fall apart and become a fucking junkie? Then, to me? I’d rather watch TV. I’d rather watch ‘The View’ than listen to bullshit.”

“When you have a fucking junkie hired in a place, you take care of them dude. You don’t let them be there. You don’t let people attack people. Everybody has an opinion but my opinion can get me fired because i have a show (miserable men). If you want to take my show away from me then take it but i can tell the truth if i want and thats how i felt from the beginning.”

“I was with Artie all the time trying to take him off. I knew people that were giving him fucking 80 pills a week and I had to put an end to that. And that led to other stuff because these fucking people are scumbags and they wanted to be on Artie’s show. Artie told me i was the only person that never asked him for money. You know how many people owe Artie anywhere between 5 and 15 grand? So don’t tell me how real life is alright and what you should do and what you should say and how you should take care of yourself. I don’t need anybody to make a career.” – Bob Levy

{In reference to returning to the HSS) “I need a bit to go on. I couldn’t talk and be funny. That would be insane. Of course gary hates me. He’ll never admit it. Ya know what i mean. Gary hates me cuz I tell the truth. You know what I mean. Let them all take me on. i’ll go in there by myself. Let them all have me in there and let them tell me what they feel and I will hit them with every lie they’ve come up with over the years. why i lost my plugs, why this, why that. They will not have me on again because of that fact and i dont care because you know what? Opie and Anthony love me, Jason Ellis loves me, other shows love me. There is no next roast … Yea it’s really helped my career by being called unfunny.” – Bob Levy

By the way, I only watch a couple minutes of the video so I don’t know what else Bob said.

Howard Erupts on Caller asking about Artie

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

Howard went off on a caller, Dina in Houston, when she asked him to stop talking about American Idol and wanted an update about Artie.

Dina got back on the air about 10 mins later, claimed Howard cut off her satellite signal and wants refund (or tour of the studio). Fred played lots Artie at the woman including, “I hate you cunt” clips at caller.

Gary said, “I do have an Artie update but I’m not going to give it on the air. The biggest update is that he’s doing his very best.”

Below is the first call. Hoping to get the 2nd one later. Sorry about the audio quality (still trying to set up my new laptop).

For the details on her callback, read MarkFriggin’s write up at http://marksfriggin.com/news10/2-22.htm#tue

Artie’s Favorite Musical Moment

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

On today’s Laughing with the Stars hosted by celebrity superfan, Jillian Barberie Reynolds, ex-Eagle Don Felder performed Hotel California with vocal accompaniment by Fred and Artie. At the end of the song, Artie proclaimed it was his favorite musical moment ever. The performance took place on 7-17-2008 when Don stopped by to promote his book.

Jillian personally selected this segment for today’s show, as the Eagles is her favorite band and she loves Artie.

A Top Stern Impersonation, Ted Kennedy Dies

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

Ted Kennedy, one of the most famous impersonations done by Howard Stern & crew, has died. 40 years after driving off a bridge, leaving a 29 year old school teacher by the name of Mary Jo Kopechne to die without reporting it, Ted finally died of brain cancer. I am sure Howard will still do impersonations but just in case he doesn’t, enjoy this video.
