We aren't asking for much! If everyone just gave a couple dollars we could raise lots of money of for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. You would be surprised how far money goes in that part of the world. Mountain Gorillas are one of the most endangered animals in the world, so not only is this a funny gag to pull off with having Artie Lange's name on it but this also does a lot of good. About the DFGF Since its establishment by Dr. Dian Fossey in September 1967, the Karisoke Research Center in Rwanda has been the centerpiece for mountain gorilla research and conservation in the Virunga mountain region. Now, four decades later, Karisoke has produced an unequaled amount of information about the mountain gorillas and their habitat, and provides daily protection for the mountain gorillas. Dian Fossey Dr. Dian Fossey, one of the worlds leading female scientists, had a remarkable career, highlighted by many challenges and successes. In 1985 she was murdered in her research cabin in Karisoke. Her story was portrayed in the 1988 in the movie Gorillas in the Midst starring Sigourney Weaver. _ |
